1516Specific Objective
 
  • To initiate and/or implement education programmes for the collective needs of adults in the community and in the work place.

 

  • To create a think tank forum for addressing the unemployment problems in Uganda and to provide a data bank for employment, investment and current trends in the market place.

 

  • To create awareness among adults in the communities and work places about their economic, social, cultural and political rights and obligations.

 

  • Promote measures that will ensure safety and healthy at work, road usage and the environment for the well being of the workers and general public.

 

  • Generally promote the advancement of education to the end that all children, adolescents and adults may have full opportunities of the education needed for their complete individual and society development.

 

  • To promote such other duties and engage in other businesses as an organization my lawfully undertake.

 

  • Support the vulnerable and disadvantaged works or people in the active work force to be gainfully employed and to adequately utilize their potential for development.

Services include among others the following:

  • Counseling and advice on questions regarding employment, higher and adult education in Uganda and to a good extent abroad.

  • Orientation and re-orientation education and training for the employed workers and those seeking employment, the retrenched, retired or those planning to leave employment including those that are not certain of their employment.

  • Development of positive attitude to work.

  • Supporting idea generation and development.

  • Career guidance for those that have finished ordinary or secondary education and are interested in joining higher institutions of learning but not certain of which of which career path to take.

  • Learning skills for self employment.
